Are you ready?

Baby Sweatt will be! How cute is this?!!
I found this on Etsy and had to have it. Not only for the baby, but my ultimate Texans fan husband will go crazy when he sees this! I figure I can get an adorable little bow to match if baby is a girl. You can buy yours here.
And of course I had to get one to represent Momma's alma mater as well. Go Cowboys!

Easter Excitement

I am really excited about Easter this year! We don't have any specific traditions other than spending it with family but it is always a fun/relaxing time. Thanks to Pinterest, I am going to try lots of Easter ideas and I am excited to see how they turn out!
Bunny Bait! With pretzels, Rice Chex, white popcorn, vanilla melting candy, spring sprinkles, and Easter M&Ms, I'd say this is bound to be yummy.
I love the idea of an Easter egg tree. It is so pretty and would look great anywhere in the house.
This is a kid-friendly snack to have besides all of the candy. Who doesn't love Goldfish?!
This is one of my personal favorites. I have never been a fan of Peeps but I am now. This is so easy to do and looks oh so cute!

What are your Easter plans?

Think Pink or Bet On Blue?

Ya'll I can't even contain my excitement! We are two(weekends don't count because let's be honest - those all fly by anyway) short days away from finding out if baby is a boy or girl. EEEK! Soon I can reveal our names and start shopping, shopping, shopping. It has been SO hard to not buy for this little babe but I definitely have a list of things to go back and get when we do finally know.

Pinterest is only adding to my excitement. Here are a few favorites if we are having a baby girl:
Baby girls and ruffles just go hand in hand.
Jamie introduced me to a store in the village, Doodles. It is seriously THE cutest store for babies/kids. This outfit was one of my favorites that I saw there.
Piggies.Need I say more?
And here are a few of my favorites if we are having a boy:
I was so excited to find this blanket because it has my husband and our (possible) future son's name written all over it.

I'm a sucker for seersucker. This is another Doodles favorite.
Polo baby you are my weakness. I know he would grow out of these in an instant but don't you know I'd take a million pictures of him in these during that instant?!

My personal guess is a boy. When we had our first ultrasound, my husband and I both immediately said "that's a boy,"when we first saw the baby. Several people have also told me that I am carrying low and that is usually the sign of a boy.Boy/girl - it makes no difference to me as long as he/she is healthy. This is probably the only time you will catch me saying, "Come on Monday!"

If it's a Boy Bedding

While we still don't know if Baby Sweatt is a boy or a girl, I stumbled upon the cutest bedding for a boy. I promised Rick that we wouldn't get anything too "froo froo" as he calls it and I wanted to make sure he loved it as much as I did. Guess what? He does! My mom and I went to Pottery Barn Kids (my new favorite) when we stumbled upon this....

So stinkin precious! I love the little fish because Rick is a big fisherman and if we do have a boy, he will be going with daddy as soon as he can hold a pole. They also had an adorable little whale pillow to complete the look. With this, I picture a cream colored glider and navy blue curtains. I also love the dark wood for a little boy. Can you tell I am dying to know? Boy or girl, this baby is so loved already!

Maternity Shopping

This girl LOVES to shop! And I have had so much fun this week checking out new maternity shops (thanks Jamie!) for spring/summer clothes. Now maternity shopping can be a little bit tricky. You try on a dress that you love and it fits perfectly. However, you have to remind yourself that we are still 5 months out and that belly is going to get bigger...MUCH bigger. But then you pick up the next size to give yourself room to grow and it swallows you at the top. Back to the rack you go pretty. There are certain items though that will last you and are worth the money. My favorite by far are maxi-dresses. They give us pregos lots of room and are so darn comfortable. Not to mention they are soo cute! Here are a few pieces I have found this week:

I can't get enough of this dress! As you can see, it isn't a maternity dress but I found it at Ann Taylor Loft and I couldn't resist. It is flowy which means growing room and I think cowboy boots would be killer with it.
I purchased this dress at Pickles and Ice Cream. Love at first sight.

There were a few questions when it came to the topic of bathing suits. Do I dare to bare and do a bikini or take the conservative route? Decisions, decisions. I found this at Pea in the Pod and I absolutely loved it. It is super comfy, lots of growing room, and I love me anything chevron print.

You have to have a good pair of denim shorts for the hot weather we are already experiencing. I also got these at a Pea in the Pod and they can be dressed up or dressed down. Either way, with these you are good to go!

I wanted to post more about my finds, especially those maxi dresses I talked about but I am having a hard time finding them on the web. I will definitely share if I can find some pictures! Happy shopping!

Miss Anything?
I miss cokes! I never used to drink them that much but now that I can't, it makes me want one even more. Go figure.

It's All In The Name

I want to shout it from the rooftops. Tell everyone we know...but I will wait.

Rick and I have finally picked out the most perfect(in our opinion, of course) names for our little bundle of joy whether it be a boy or a girl. We always knew our girl name, however boy was definitely a different story. We went round and round on that one for weeks and then...AH-HA!

Now I love my husband to pieces but Sweatt is not the easiest name to be paired with. Especially if our sweet angel has red hair, which I PRAY that he/she does even though Rick says it was a curse growing up. I have always adored the name Benjamin and we would call him Ben. I can just hear those middle-schoolers now though. "Hey ya "Ben Sweattin?" Not so much. Rick loved the named Gunner. Again, "Ya Gunner Sweatt?" I know we are from Texas and I am Texas proud but I just couldn't. No, thank you.

It is quite a bit of pressure picking out the perfect name for your unborn child. Will he/she love it as much as we do? Will we have picked a name out that we thought was unique at the time and then ten years from now all of the other kids will have it too? My mom picked Lindsey because it was unique in the 80's. I now share that name with about 34384573495 other Lindsey's.

After a lot of talking, I am confident that we have picked the right names! I can't wait to share with you all and I definitely will once we find out the sex. Stay tuned for April 2nd!
